个人简介
专长概要Ali Cheshmehzangi教授是宁波诺丁汉大学建筑与建筑环境系建筑学系主任。他也是宁波诺丁汉大学可持续能源技术研究中心(CSET)及诺丁汉大学城市设计研究小组(UDRG)副研究员。此外，他还是建筑师和城市设计员，研究领域是城市规划、发展和成长。他主要的研究兴趣是城市系统、城市认同、城市变化和重建、以及一体化设计在可持续城市规划中的应用。
通过实践和理论方法，他在城市规划领域开展两项主流的研究活动。第一个研究领域是“城市认同”、“全球化”和“变化”，这也是他的个人兴趣和爱好，鼓励着他开展理论和实践的研究和学习。通过探索地方营造、空间网络、认知制图和临时城市规划的观念，他在“城市特色”领域有了自己非常独到的见解。第二个研究领域相较而言更注重实际，由实践经验和研究生学习发展而来。在这一特殊的研究背景下，Ali的专长是在可持续城市规划、城市成长、重建及一体化城市发展方面。他对城市和城市成长的热情也驱使他探索和了解设计与规划的意义和可能性。在建筑研究方面，他热衷于本土建筑研究，包括被动设计策略和社会行为研究。
Ali在建筑学、城市设计、景观设计与规划的研究、教学和实践方面具有广泛的背景知识。他具有建筑学学士学位、建筑学专业研究研究生证书、城市设计研究生文凭（优等）以及建筑学硕士学位（优等）和建筑学与城市设计博士学位。此外，Ali也对其它社会科学与工程领域的跨学科研究非常感兴趣，例如社会心理学、人文地理、社会经济学、一体化设计与创新发展等。他荣获第三届建设与环境国际研究生学术会议（2011年香港）建设类优秀奖。他还参与了由英国研究理事会（RCUK）资助的“中国（2009-10）曹妃甸生态城开发”项目。
在研究层面，Ali是一位城市规划专家，熟知城市设计、发展与规划的所有知识。最近，他的研究工作是探索维持城市成长、社会经济系统再生以及城市规划地方营造的方法（均在2012年期间）。他对于可持续城市规划的兴趣和方法都很独特，即实施一体化系统和了解城市成长。此外，作为就业导师，Ali也积极参与宁波诺丁汉大学的行业活动并举办讲学班。

在加入宁波诺丁汉大学之前，Ali一直在英国诺丁汉大学建筑与建筑环境系进行教学与研究工作。2009年，他入职英国诺丁汉大学，同时修读建筑学博士学位。他教授建筑学、设计与城市设计（本科和研究生层次）的所有设计和研究课程。此外，他还参与协调建筑研究方法课程的讲习班和研讨会。

Ali是英国工程与自然科学研究理事会/英国国际发展部（EPSRC/DfID）资助申请专业的首席研究员（位于宁波诺丁汉大学），这一项目由英国华威大学牵头（总计需要金额为750000+英镑；折合750万+人民币）。其它的研究伙伴包括剑桥大学以及肯尼亚、乌干达、坦桑尼亚和泰国的一些研究机构、政府和非政府部门。此项目为期36个月，侧重于亚洲和非洲的能源与低收入热带住宅，预计将于2013年5月启动。
