个人简介
Dr Ayotunde Dawodu joined the Department of Architecture and Built Environment of the University of Nottingham, Ningbo China (UNNC) in 2019, after receiving a PhD from UNNC. Prior to taking post at UNNC, Ayotunde taught as an adjunct professor for CIEE where he taught Environmental Conditions and Public Perception in Contemporary China and Service Learning.
His current research is focused on Neighbourhood Sustainability Assessment Tools and how they can be improved for their use in developing countries, particularly sub-Saharan Africa. This means investigating and creating tools that measures and assigns sustainability points to a list of urban issues, via the development of sustainability indicators in order to attain urban sustainability. Tools under investigation include BREEAM, LEED, CASBEE etc. Ayotunde also investigates the implication of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) in attaining urban sustainability in various cities of developing countries. To this end, he has published a book recently called ‘Sustainable Urban Development in the Age of Climate Change: People, the Cure or Curse’.
Ayotunde was also the winner of the PhD star of research award (2016/2017) at the UNNC, for being the most outstanding researcher in the Faculty of Science and Engineering.
