个人简介
Dr. Maycon Sedrez is a Brazilian architect and urban designer with background research in computational design, architecture and complexity. He explored fractal geometry, automation, prototyping and digital fabrication applied to the design process at University of Campinas in Brazil and TU Eindhoven in Netherlands. In 2016, he started a PostDoc at the Institute for Sustainable Urbanism in Germany focusing on parametric design and urbanism, new technologies, and urban-rural relations.
He is currently teaching architecture and urban design at UNNC, exploring new design methods and tools, parametric design, and sustainable design. He is reviewer of international and Brazilian journals: Architectural Science Review, Sustainability, Urban Science, Education Sciences, Buildings, Ambiente Construido, PARC, POS-USP, and ArquiteturaRevista, and international conferences eCAADe and SiGRaDi. In 2015, he organized the international conference ISU Talks Future Cities: urbanism in a digitalizing world at TU Braunschweig. His research explores the use of new technologies in the design process of architecture and urbanism, the relation between architecture and Complexity, computational design, new design methods and learning tools.
He collaborates with the research group Technologies Integrated to Designfrom University of Espirito Santo, and the Laboratory of Automation and Prototyping for Architecture and Constructionfrom University of Campinas.
