个人简介
专长概要本人是三级注册建筑师、城市规划专家、建筑历史学家和理论家。本人的学术与研究目标是结合西方和亚洲，特别是东南亚和远东的经验、知识和实践，研究出新的方法，让世界都能够了解建筑与城市规划。
本人获得伦敦大学学院Bartlett建筑环境学院建筑史硕士学位及建筑与城市规划博士学位。本人的博士论文入围英国皇家建筑师学会2010年研究类President's Award奖（优秀博士论文）。
本人是《吉隆坡的建筑与城市形态：后殖民主义城市里的种族与华人空间》（Architecture and Urban Form inKuala Lumpur: Race and Chinese Spaces in a Postcolonial City）（2013年由阿什盖特出版公司出版）一书的作者。本人目前正在写一本关于《伦敦的中国人东区》（London’s Chinese East End）的书，将于2015年由英格兰历史建筑和古迹委员会出版。这本书历时6年严谨的研究，受到了各研究机构的资助，包括英国皇家建筑师学会研究信托、保罗●梅隆英国艺术与遗产彩票基金研究中心（Paul Mellon Centre for Studies in British Art and Heritage Lottery Fund）。
本人自1992年开始涉足建筑与建筑环境，并曾在马来西亚和英国执业、执教、写作和研究建筑与城市规划。本人现在仍然在进行研究，研究和写作对我的教学工作深有启发。
建筑实践与教学本人曾任某大学生建筑设计工作室的设计工作室教师。我的设计工作室探索的主题有“哲学与建筑”、“地域主义与建筑”，聚焦于询问东西方的关系交流和身份问题。
作为一名执业建筑师，我设计和管理过40多个建筑项目（2000多个大楼单元），包括住房建筑规划、住宅楼、工厂、商铺、办公室和酒店。
本人自2005年起担任Bartlett建筑环境学院导师，2010年起为Bartlett建筑环境学院教研员。在Bartlett建筑环境学院，我教授文科硕士建筑史课程，监管学生作文和硕士论文。本人也担任过建筑学硕士（ARB/RIBA Part 2）论文的导师。
2008年至2011年期间，本人任布莱顿大学客座讲师和三年级建筑学学生论文导师。本人也是威斯敏斯特大学（文科硕士建筑学、文化认同和全球化）、布莱顿大学、诺丁汉大学以及伦敦大学学院Bartlett建筑环境学院的正式客座设计评论员。
研究除教学外，本人还积极开展建筑与城市史的研究。我的研究是跨学科的，涵盖了建筑学、建筑史、文化地理学、人种学和城市规划的研究方法。我的一个主要的研究重点是在设想跨文化城市规划的情景下，探索将文化认同、建筑学和全球化问题相连接的方法。
最近，我在研究伦敦东区的中国人城市史。我刚刚完成“伦敦的建筑与移民：Limehouse唐人街被遗忘的历史（1900-1970）”的研究项目，目的是追踪受20世纪30年代贫民窟拆迁和60年代社会住房发展影响的空间变动情况（英国皇家建筑师学会资助）。
本人还在香港和中国南方完成了“在中国追踪伦敦的Limehouse唐人街的历史（1860-1960）”的研究。此研究受到了保罗●梅隆英国艺术与Bartlett建筑环境学院建筑研究基金研究中心的资助（Paul Mellon Centre for the Study of British Art and the Bartlett’s Architecture Research Fund）。
公众参与和合作项目本人具有学术界以外的公众参与合作研究方面的经验。我曾与多个组织紧密合作，包括博物馆和档案馆、地方图书馆、社区团体、地方居民、自愿者和学生等。2007年至2012年期间，我担任“Limehouse唐人街遗产”和“龙的脚印”这两个遗产/口述史档案与研究项目的首席研究员兼项目负责人，这两个项目均由遗产彩票基金资助。
除建筑项目外，本人热衷于以社区为基础的文化产品和社会活动，我认为这是一种干预方式，同时也是城市与历史发展的空间策略。2000年，我参与建立了马来西亚吉隆坡战略信息研究与发展中心（SIRD），出版了多本社会、政治和经济问题方面的书籍。
顾问自2011年开始，我担任英格兰历史建筑和古迹委员会国家遗产保护计划亚洲区的专家顾问。
我也曾是伦敦道克兰博物馆核心顾问小组成员，任“Many East Ends”项目指导和顾问，该博物馆是伦敦东区一家新的大型历史永久性美术馆。
