个人简介
Dr Ed Cooper has a multi-disciplinary background in industry and academia, including ten years at the University of Nottingham UK (UNUK). He has worked in Europe, North America and Asia. He returned to academia from industry in 2018 and is presently the First Year Officer for the Department of Architecture and Built Environment.
He has taught both engineers and architects at all levels, with a focus on the design and appraisal of environmental systems and strategies. During his time at UNUK he was the Course Director of the Architectural Environment Engineering programme and a university coordinator for the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers.
His research interests, developed over 16 years, are closely aligned with his teaching. He has been principle investigator on multiple projects, funded by bodies such as InnovateUK, the EPSRC and EU Horizon 2020. He is the lead inventor of a novel method for measuring the airtightness of buildings and first author of three patents, now under exclusive license to a joint venture.
