个人简介:
刘甘强博士,现任中山大学医学院教授、博士生导师。2007年本科毕业于同济大学生命科学与技术学院。2014年于澳大利亚The University of Queensland获得生物信息学博士学位(师从著名分子生物学家John Mattick 教授),同年赴哈佛大学医学院、布莱根妇女医院Clemens Scherzer神经基因组课题组(帕金森病高级研究中心)进行博士后研究。2017年10月起担任哈佛大学医学院神经病学系讲师。2018年获聘中山大学“****”引进人才加入中山大学医学院。

研究概述:
刘甘强博士研究通过对组学和临床数据的整合与分析,为疾病的诊断和进展发现潜在的生物标志物和提供相应的预测工具。特别在帕金森病进展和生物标志物的研究等方面取得了重要学术成果:?
1)揭示遗传变异与帕金森病进展之间的关联,发现(b-葡萄糖脑苷脂酶)GBA基因突变和帕金森病患者的认知功能下降存在遗传关联,并利用相关生物统计学算法开发出适用于临床应用的遗传认知风险评分预测帕金森病患者的全面认知障碍。
2)探索帕金森病的生物标志物,发现了与帕金森病发病早期相关的血液中的转录物可做为疾病诊断潜在的生物标志物。
3)探索人类转录组和RNA相互作用,发现每个单倍体基因组中非蛋白质编码DNA 的比例与生物学复杂性呈正相关;利用第二代测序技术和全新算法来研究人类线粒体转录组中的RNA与蛋白质相互作用。
