课程内容简介

计算机辅助翻译是一门理论与实践相结合的课程。主要分两部分，第一部分介绍机器翻译的历史、基本方法、存在的问题，以及有代表性的机器翻译软件；第二部分为实践，主要对一些网上的免费翻译软件进行试用，并进行对比分析，系统地总结各个翻译软件的优劣，同时学习“后编辑”的理论和方法，掌握使用机器翻译软件必备的后编辑技巧。

课程内容简介（英文）

Computer-aided Translation is a course which combines Machine Translation Theory with practice. It is divided into two parts. The first one introduces the history of Machine Translation, the basic principles and approaches, the difficulties as well as some well-known Machine Translation systems. The second part aims at practice. Free online translation software will be introduced. And students are required to try them after class and make comments on the results. Students are also encouraged to summarize the advantages and disadvantages of certain software by comparing the results. Post-editing techniques will be introduced and practiced, too, in order to help students to master them in their future careers.
