Dr. Zhang’s research focuses on the mechanism, diagnosis and treatment of non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) and its associated liver cancer. She has published over 30 papers in international peer-reviewed SCI journals, including Journal of Hepatology, Gut, Gastroenterology and Cell research. She has obtained research awards including the National Scholar Award in United European Gastroenterology Week 2015, Best Poster Award in the 21st ASM of Hong Kong Society of Flow Cytometry, 2nd prize at the CIGI Best Abstract Award, Yu To Sang Yu Shing Keung Memorial Fund Scholarship 2012/2013. She is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association, China Anti-Cancer Association (Tumour Microecology), Chinese Society of Management of Chronic Diseases, Hong Kong Immunology Association, Hong Kong Flow Cytometry Association, Youth Committee in Cross-Strait Digestive Association. Dr Zhang serves as an editorial board member of Front. Oncol. and reviewers for several journals.
