Dr. Zhang obtained her PhD degree in Medical Sciences from CUHK. Her graduate study focused on epigenetic modifications in colorectal cancer. She is currently working on identification of the microbial markers for diagnosis and treatment of various diseases and investigation of the role of the microbiome in pathogenesis of inflammatory bowel disease, particularly Crohn’s disease. She serves as the reviewer of Gut.
