一、培养目标
1．掌握马克思主义基本原理、毛泽东思想、邓小平理论和“三个代表”重要思想，拥护党的基本路线，坚持四项基本原则，热爱祖国，遵纪守法，德智体全面发展，具有较强的事业心，具有良好的政治素质和高尚的职业道德。
2．掌握学科领域内坚实的基础理论和系统的专门知识，具有较宽知识面和扎实的专业基本功，具备用英语从事教学、科学研究和国际交流的实际能力，运用所学理论与方法从事教育教学、翻译等研究工作。具有较高的思想素质、专业素质和人文素质，善于吸收西方的先进思想和文化，为祖国的社会主义现代化建设服务，为国际科技文化交流服务。
3．比较熟练地掌握和运用第二外国语。
4．具有良好的心理素质和身体素质。
