陈克伟教授于1993年在UCLA医学院获得生物数学博士学位,现为美国亚利桑那州Banner Alzheimer’s Institute (BAI) 的资深科学家、生物数学家、神经影像数据分析实验室的主任; 美国国家阿尔茨海默氏症协调中心 (NACC) 亚利桑那州分中心(ADCC)的数据管理与统计分析部主任; 同时是美国亚力桑那州立大学(Arizona State University)数学和统计学院的兼职教授, 美国亚力桑那州立大学(University of Arizona) College of Medicine-Phoenix的神经病学系的研究教授. 自2011年, 他兼任PLOS ONE杂志的学术编辑, 2013年受聘兼任国内《生物医学工程学进展》杂志副主编 （依托单位上海交通大学）并于该年担任新创刊的国际英文杂志Neuroscience and Biomedical Engineering (NBE)的两位主编之一.
陈克伟教授的主要研究方向是基于神经影像学的老年痴呆病, 侧重于预防、疾病预测、及其利用神经影像学技术作为有效的药物检测的指标. 他是多个项目的PI, co-PI或核心团队成员。他所在Banner Alzheimer’s Institute (BAI)研究所近期启动了由NIH、相关制药公司及诸研究基金会共同资助的Alzheimer’s Prevention Initiative (API)-PS1计划和API-APOE4计划. 陈克伟教授有多于200余篇peer reviewed科技杂志文章和数百篇科学摘要 (counted by 2010).
