1970年10月出生于江西吉安永新，中国国籍，国家科学基金获得者，德国洪堡、教育部新世纪优秀人才支持计划获得者和河北科学基金获得者。现任北京师范大学认知神经科学与学习国家重点实验室副主任、河北省计算机工业控制重点实验室主任、北京脑重大疾病防治研究院特聘专家。1998年4月至2009年6月，曾先后在香港城市大学、德国汉诺威大学、香港中文大学和英国伯明翰大学从事科研工作。
主要从事针对功能性脑病的科学研究仪器、医疗器械的研究开发，核心技术包括：神经信息与工程、自动化智能状态监控、机器视觉及应用、微弱信号检测与信号处理等。开展课题主要围绕功能性脑病，研究功能性脑疾病的早期诊断、干预治疗和康复新技术，开发基于脑电和近红外的脑信号检测（嵌入式）和分析（信号处理和成像技术）系统，同时也开发基于TMS、tDCS和超声刺激等新技术的功能性脑病干预系统。
