研究方向计算机视觉、深度学习、遥感图像处理与分析。
主持国家自然科学基金面上项目、青年基金、中国博士后基金特别资助、陕西省自然科学基础研究计划、航天科学技术基金、中国博士后基金面上一等资助、陕西省博士后科研一等资助等多项科研项目；
参与国家重点研发计划、国家科技重大专项（“高分重大专项”）、国家自然科学基金面上项目等多项科研项目。

近年来，在计算机视觉、遥感图像处理和分析等领域发表国际期刊论文和国际会议论文20余篇，其中，ESI高被引论文和热点论文5篇，Google Scholar引用1600余次，授权国家(国防)发明专利9项。
