Dr Melody Zhang obtained her PhD in Management from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and her bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management from Zhejiang University. Dr Melody Zhang’s research interests lie in leadership, employee proactive behavior, and group/team dynamics and outputs in different types of work team contexts, such as R&D teams and entrepreneurial teams. In another line of her research, she tackles HRM-related issues, such as how underemployed or overqualified employees could be better integrated with their supervisors, teams and organizations. Dr Melody Zhang has published her research articles in the Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Applied Psychology, Personnel Psychology, Journal of Organizational Behavior, and Academy of Management Best paper proceedings.? Prior to joining the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Dr. Melody Zhang had taught a series of courses in the fields of organizational behavior and human resource management at City University of Hong Kong (CityU) and the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK).
