Introduction
Dr Jesus Alfonso Daep Datu(Jess) is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Special Education and Counselling. He is a well-being scientist with research programs inpositive psychology, positive education,andinclusive education. He is also the Lab Leader of theScience of Happiness and Positive Education(SHAPE) lab.He is named an APS Rising Star, a designation thatrecognizes outstanding psychological scientists in the earliest stages of their research career post-PhD whose innovative work has already advanced the field and signals great potential for their continued contributionsby the Association for Psychological Science in January 2022. He is included in the list ofThe World's Top 2% Researchers Based on Scientific Impacts Across All Disciplines based on a study published by a team of researchers led by Prof. John Ioannidis of the Stanford University in 2019 (see Ioannidis et al., 2020) and in 2020 (see Baas et al., 2021). In January 2021, he received the Outstanding Reviewer Award from the School Psychology International editorial leadership team. He is also a recipient of 2019/20 President's Award for Outstanding Performance in Research - Early Career Research Excellence Scheme. He directly contributes to professional scholarly communities in the areas of positive psychology and inclusive education as anAssociate Editorof Applied Psychology: Health and Well-Being, Journal of Happiness Studies, Current Psychology, and International Journal of Disability, Development, and Education. He also serves asSenior Associate Editorof School Psychology International.He sits on the editorial board ofSchool Psychology, Asian Journal of Social Psychology, Educational Psychology, International Journal of Applied Positive Psychology,andPhilippine Journal of Psychology.
