簡介
Mr. Lam had more than 18 years of working experience in evening schools, a skill opportunity school, special schools, and secondary schools, where he participated in education services in a variety of roles including teachers, subject heads, key learning area heads, functional committee heads, and school head.
As a frontline education worker, he found that special educational needs (SEN) support has been developing in local schools in a positive way due to the higher and higher concern and knowledge from the public. At different schools, he discovered there had been various good strategies for students with different educational needs in terms of learning and teaching, student growth, parent support, community liaison, and school management. He was strongly interested in the way in which schools can communicate and exchange their school-based implementation, continuous improvement and professional experience for development of whole-school approach for SEN support.
As a school leader, he paid much emphasis on teacher trainings or sharing of knowledge in learning and teaching, as well as student counselling, for creation of atmosphere or culture in taking care of students’ learning diversities. In his mind, the more the learning opportunities, the better students can perform. Meanwhile, in modern education, we should never measure our students’ talents with a single ruler.
