research
My main interests are in exploring pathophysiology of diabetes using human experimental medicine and glucose clamp studies. My previous work focused on the effects of hypoglycaemia on cardiac arrhythmias and thrombosis in type 2 diabetes. Currently, I am investigating the role of beta cell dysfunction and insulin resistance in the development of young onset type 2 diabetes among Chinese. I also have a particular interest in continuous glucose monitoring systems and technologies relating to prevention of hypoglycaemia.
