2013年,指导本科生实验队SYSU-China获得国际基因工程机器设计大赛(iGEM)亚洲区金牌, “最佳模型”(Best Model)和“最佳原生基因组件奖”(Best New BioBrick Part, Natural)两单项特别大奖;全球决赛获得全程金奖(FINALISTS)第三名,为本年度亚洲地区唯一获得世界赛大奖的高校队伍,此外还获得最佳网页奖(Best Wiki)单项特别大奖。
2014年,指导本科生实验队SYSU-China获得国际基因工程机器设计大赛(iGEM)全球铜牌以及亚洲区唯一的最佳组合型生物砖(Best New Composite part)的单项奖。

学术成就
中山大学双一流建设“细胞基因编辑研究和应用”方向的团队负责人;生命科学学院基因编辑动物平台负责人。在Nature、Nature Communications、Molecular Cell、Cell Research、Stem Cells、Protein Cell等国际专业杂志上发表论文超65篇,影响因子超450点,总引用超2500次。授权专利2项,申请专利14项。世界上首次在人类胚胎通过CRISPR/Cas9技术和单碱基编辑技术修正地中海贫血症的突变基因,被Nature、Science等科技媒体的热点报道,工作入选 2015年Science杂志年度十大突破介绍和2017年Nature杂志全球年度科学事件盘点。2019年率先建立了系统评估单碱基编辑系统靶向效率的EndoV-Seq技术,被Science等杂志引用;建立了国际上首个基因编辑地中海贫血食蟹猴模型,其表型与人类疾病相似。2020年,建立双AAV介导单碱基编辑器体内编辑靶细胞基因的递送系统。2014年入选广东特支计划百千万青年拔尖人才;2015年,Nature杂志评选黄军就为年度全球十大科学人物;2015年,中国与全球化智库(CCG)评为“2015年中国留学人员创新创业50人”;2016年,获得中国干细胞协会评“干细胞青年研究员奖”;2017年,中国遗传学会基因编辑分会第一届学术委员会委员;2018年,广东省地中海贫血专委会副主任委员;2018年获邀为中国工程院全球工程前沿战略咨询研究项目医药卫生领域专家。2019年,中国遗传学会基因编辑分会第二届学术委会委员;中国医药生物技术协会基因编辑技术分会常委委员; 中国优生科学协会儿科临床与保健分会遗传与基因治疗学组委员。2020年,国家自然科学基金委生命科学部学科评审组专家。科研工作获得国家重点研发计划(组长和骨干各1项),国家基金委面上项目(3项)和青年基金,广东省自然科学基金、广州市科技攻关项目等资助。
