　　长期从事营养膳食预防动脉粥样硬化（Atherosclerosis, AS）性心血管疾病的基础研究，以糖脂代谢紊乱损伤血管内皮为切入点，围绕AS发病的营养代谢机制及干预策略这一核心科学问题，以“营养防治效应-作用机制和分子靶点研究-人群营养干预和验证-营养代谢标志物研究”为研究策略，通过营养基因组学、代谢组学和分子生物学等研究方法，运用敏感生物标志物和多种研究模型，开展了：（1）植物化学物花色苷对AS的预防效应、作用机理及人群干预研究；（2）视黄醇转运蛋白及其代谢产物视黄酸与AS发病的关联及机制的研究。为AS早期预测、预警和营养防治提供新的靶标和干预策略。
