臧寅垠研究员2008年毕业于南方医科大学（原第一军医大学）心理学系，获得应用心理学（医学心理学）理学学士学位；2009年于英国诺丁汉大学，工作、健康与组织研究所（Institute of Work, Health and Organisation），获得管理心理学硕士学位；2013年于英国诺丁汉大学医学院获得应用心理学博士学位。2014至2015年于美国宾夕法尼亚大学医学院精神病学系从事临床心理学博士后研究，2015至2019年作为Research Associate继续于美国宾夕法尼亚大学精神病学系与睡眠与昼夜神经生物学中心从事临床心理学与睡眠障碍的研究工作。臧寅垠研究员主导、参与了多个临床心理学随机对照研究项目，包括于我国地震灾区开展的对成人及儿童创伤后应激障碍（PTSD）的心理治疗研究，以及在英、美等国进行的多项大型多中心心理治疗对照试验。2019年7月起任北京大学心理与认知科学学院研究员、博士生导师。

臧寅垠研究员的研究兴趣包括心理病理学、心理咨询与治疗（如暴露治疗、叙事治疗等）的循证研究，创伤后应激障碍、焦虑相关障碍等疾病的干预研究、创新型心理干预方法的开发与验证，以及积极心理学与中国文化研究等。研究方法包括（但不限于）定量研究、质性研究、Meta分析以及临床大数据处理等。
