1994年毕业于杭州大学生物系,1999年获中国科学院上海生理所神经生物学博士学位。1999-2002年在美国UC San Diego 和UC Berkeley从事神经可塑性方面博士后研究,期间获International Human Frontier Science Program(HFSP)long-term fellowship资助。2003年获中科院“引进国外杰出人才()”资助,任中科院神经科学所神经可塑性组联合组长;2004-2006获HFSP Career Development Award;2007-2013任中科院神经科学所神经元信息处理与可塑性组组长,研究员,博士生导师;2010年获中国科学院优秀研究生指导教师奖与赛洛菲•安万特优秀青年科学家奖(SIBS-Sanofi Aventis Yong Faculty Award)。2013年9月,加入北京师范大学认知神经科学和学习国家重点实验室。
实验室采用(在体和脑片)电生理、光遗传学、双光子激光细胞显微成像与神经疾病转基因小鼠模型,解析海马-大脑皮层功能性环路(特别是γ-氨基丁酸GABA能抑制性环路)的长程和局部神经连接(突触)的基本规则、及其学习或早期经验对环路连接的修饰机制(“关键期”可塑性),以阐明学习和脑可塑性的神经环路机制、以及神经精神发育性疾病(瑞特综合症、精神分裂症)发生和发展相关的异常环路机理。
