个人简介
I joined the University of Nottingham Ningbo China in September 2017 as Content Tutor for International Studies in the first ‘preliminary’ year. Prior to this I completed my PhD at the University of St Andrews. My research focused on how citizens encounter and perceive the States that they inhabit. Finding that many dominate political and International Relations theories overlook the subjective element of political experience, my work sought to design a new approach for considering subject and State relations utilising the philosophical ideas of the Christian Existentialist Søren Kierkegaard.
I have also worked at a number of academic institutions in the United Kingdom. I taught on first and second year modules for the School of International Relations at St Andrews University between 2014 and 2017, and both tutored and lectured on interdisciplinary ‘sub honours’ modules. I further taught both first and second year modules on Political Theory and the History of Political Thought at the University of Stirling between 2015 and 2017. In addition, I also designed and ran a summer course on Philosophy and Ethics for Oxbridge Academic Programs in 2016 and 2017.
I was nominated by Stirling University Student Union for a Teaching Excellence Award in 2016 for my work in political theory courses.

研究方向
I currently work on the intersection between Philosophy and Theory, and Politics and International Relations. I am particularly interested in the evolution of political ideas and values, and how such concepts may be used to better understand the political world.
