Hongmei Zhangreceived herPhD degree in Biomedical Science and Technology from Xi’an Jiaotong University, in 2004. She is currently an Associate Professor in the Key Laboratory of Biomedical Information Engineering, Ministry of Education, the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Xi’an Jiaotong University. Herresearch work is to develop novel methods to characterize the viscoelastic property of the soft tissue.Her multidisciplinary broad research interests include fractional derivative model based viscoelastic biomarkers for early disease;Machine learning of multi-mode medical imaging data on early diagnosis of major disease.She has more than 30 publications. She is an IEEE member and a member of the Chinese Institute of Electronics.
