Title: “Enhanced cancer immunotherapy by combining microbubble-mediated low frequency ultrasound and hyperthermia: mechanical and thermal mechanisms”
Role: PI
Total Award Amount: ¥2,000,000
Tasks: To develop a useful protocol of potential immunotherapy with high intensity focused ultrasound and increased cavitation with targeted microbubble; to evaluate the microbubble vibration mode under low frequency focused ultrasound and its cavitation effects; to evaluate the activation of immunotherapy with HIFU, cavitation and anti-PD-1 and their combined effects with different protocol; to prove the anti-tumor effects of combined immunotherapy in vitro and in vivo..

Title: “Photoacoustic Cavitation Targeted Damage on Micro-Vessel: Mechanical Mechanism, In Situ Experiments and In Vivo Monitoring Imaging”

Total Award Amount: ¥630,000
Tasks: To develop a useful protocol of photoacoustic cavitation damage on micro-vessel in localized drug delivery; to evaluate the photoacoustic cavitation nucleation/ bubble dynamics via simulation, high speed microscopic imaging, passive cavitation detection; to build up the image-guided photoacoustic cavitation experimental/ pre-clinic system in an in situ micro-vessel model and the nude mice spine tumor model in vivo.
