Recently, one paper titled as “Facilely prepared conductive hydrogels based on polypyrrole nanotubes” was published online as a contribution to the special issue of Chemical Papers, which co-authored by Yu Li, Yanping Wang, Xiaoqin Liu, Shi Wang and Xinli Jing. Hydrogels based on conducting polymers possess vast applications in the area of flexible electronics including strain sensors and energy storage devices. A lot of traditional synthetic routes to robust conducting polymer hydrogels always rely on an in-situ polymerization of the monomers or a processible conducting polymer dispersion, which is neither controllable nor cost-effective. The present work provides a facile method to obtain high-quality conducting hydrogels based on as-synthesized polypyrrole (PPy) nanotubes through solution infiltration followed by construction of a dual cross-linking network. In this way, both the properties of PPy nanotubes and the cross-linking manner of the hydrogel matrix polymers can be finely adjusted, which provides useful reference for the developing of high-performance flexible electronic materials. ???????

Prof. Xinli Jing
Dr. Xinli Jing is currently a professor at the School of Chemistry in Xi’an Jiaotong University. He has been engaged in teaching and scientific research in the field of polymer materials science and engineering for a long time. His current research interests mainly focus on the structure and thermal stability of crosslinked polymers, advanced resin matrix composites, ablation resistant composites, crosslinked polymers based on dynamic covalent bonds, superhydrophobic and ice-resistant coatings and polymers with high thermal conductivity and low dielectric loss. He has presided over and participated in more than 40 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, military products supporting projects of the National Defense Science and Technology Bureau, Shaanxi Province Science Planning Projects, and enterprise cooperation projects. He has published more than 100 academic papers (he cited more than 800 SCI statistical papers), and applied for 28 invention patents (23 have been authorized). The doctoral dissertations under his supervision have been nominated for National Excellent Doctoral Dissertation (2010), Shaanxi Excellent Doctoral Dissertation (2009) and Xi 'an Jiaotong University Excellent Doctoral Dissertation (2010 and 2009).
井新利,工学博士,西安交通大学化学学院应用化学系教授。长期从事高分子材料科学与工程领域的教学和科研工作,近年主要开展交联高分子的结构和热稳定性、先进树脂基复合材料、航天耐烧蚀树脂、超疏水和抗覆冰涂层以及高导热和低介电损耗高分子材料。主持和参与了国家自然科学基金项目、国防科工局军品配套项目、陕西省科学计划项目和企业合作项目40余项,发表学术论文100余篇(SCI 统计论文他引800多次),申请发明专利28件(已授权23件)。获陕西省科技进步三等奖1项;合作出版论著2部。指导的博士学位论文曾获全国优秀博士学位论文提名(2010年)、陕西省优秀博士学位论文(2009年)和西安交通大学优秀博士学论文(2010年和2009年)。

西安交通大学功能高分子研究组(RGFP)

功能高分子研究组(RGFP)致力于高分子科学以及相关领域的研究工作。RGFP秉持基础研究和应用研究并重的理念,既关注学科前沿又保持与产业界的密切合作。RGFP现有教授3人,副教授2人,助理教授1人。目前主持国家自然科学基金面上项目3项,国家自然科学基金青年项目4项,部委项目3项,横向科研项目多项。
研究组已发表学术论文100余篇,获授权国家发明专利26件。RGFP已培养硕士42名,博士15名;博士学位论文中获全国优秀博士学位论文提名1篇,被评为陕西省优秀博士学位论文1篇和西安交通大学校级优秀博士学位论文2篇。
