疟疾等感染性疾病病原体与宿主相互作用及其致病机制研究,以及相关的药物和疫苗等转化医学研究。
同济大学医学院,教授,博士生导师,“热带病与转化研究”课题组组长(PI);同济大学高等研究院,兼职研究员;同济大学医学院附属东方医院转化医学中心,课题组长。
从事疟疾等重要传染性疾病防治相关的基础和应用研究,主要致力于恶性疟原虫等病原体免疫逃避和致病机制研究,以及相关的抗疟疾药物和疫苗研制等。主要研究成果包括:在国际上首次揭示了致死型疟疾的关键调控因子PfRNase II及其作用机制;揭示了疟疾主要致病基因家族(var基因)的新调控途径;揭示了var基因表达特征与疟疾临床表现之间的相关性等等,相关研究成果陆续发表于Nature, Cell Host & Microbe,PNAS,J Immunology等国际权威期刊上。目前在研项目包括国家自然科学基金面上项目、国家自然科学基金传染病领域国际合作项目、中央高校基本科研业务费专项资金项目等。学术任职:F1000 Associate Faculty Member (Microbiology),
Cellular Microbiology等专业期刊审稿人。
