2.分子伴侣与蛋白折叠在心脑疾病中的作用
重要学术贡献
细胞内新生肽链的折叠过程中，其正确折叠、定位需要帮助分子伴侣（molecular chaperone）等的参与和介导；而蛋白质的降解还可以由分子伴侣提供的“质控系统（”辅助完成。这种“质控系统”可以识别、滞留和靶向作用于错误折叠的蛋白质，促进这些蛋白质聚集或降解，阻碍其定位，防止它们干扰细胞的正常功能。因此分子伴侣在维持正常的细胞功能及疾病的发生中有一定的作用。在过去的工作中，参与完成了分子伴侣mortalin/grp75的基因克隆，探讨了其与卵巢癌等肿瘤发生的关系及其作用的信号通路，并通过干扰分子伴侣观察肿瘤细胞的逆转情况；神经系统的退行性疾病涉及到蛋白的异常折叠，分子伴侣在其中起着一定的作用。在过去的工作中，对Alzheimer病和Parkinson病做了一些探讨。
