长期从事营养、代谢与慢性非传染性疾病流行病学工作，研究内容主要涉及炎症因子、一碳代谢、B族维生素与心血管疾病、恶性肿瘤及死亡风险之间的关系。2009年以来，在Ann Oncol, Cancer Res, J Intern Med, Am J Clin Nutr, Int J Cancer, J Natl Cancer Inst等国际知名学术期刊上发表SCI论文25篇，其中以第一作者发表16篇（均为通讯作者，中科院一区5篇）。
