  曹长群: 男,1970年7月,湖北潜江,研究员(二级),博士生导师。
  现任:现代古生物学和地层学国家重点实验室(中国科学院南京地质古生物研究所)副主任,实验技术中心主任。
  1993:南京大学地球科学系 地层古生物专业(本科、硕士);
  1999:中国科学院南京地质古生物研究所,获得博士学位;

研究领域:
  主要从事二叠纪末期生物灭绝事件的古环境背景与灭绝机制的研究。依托高分辨率微观沉积特征、碳和氮同位素地球化学指标以及生物标记化合物等有机地球化学证据,识别华南海相二叠纪-三叠纪过渡期海平面变化、火山事件、海洋水体地球化学环境异常的过程和时序关系。曾提出“二叠纪末期海洋光合作用带水体硫化氢富集毒化”以及“二叠纪长兴期长周期海洋缺氧毒化”的观点。对华南中二叠世Capitanian阶表现的无机碳同位素正漂移事件(Kamura Cooling Event)的环境机制,提出海洋富氮底流上涌与陆源磷元素供应增强相互作用的研究思路,为合理解释Kamura碳同位素正漂移记录的偶然性、巨厚层灰泥丘建造的环境成因等提供依据。后期,开展海-陆相二叠纪-三叠纪事件界线对比依据及陆相沉积环境及气候变化的探讨,提出:陆相二叠纪-三叠纪过渡期有机碳同位素负异常的幕次变化特点,并可作为识别陆相沉积地层二叠纪末期环境异常事件的主要对比证据。近年来,开展二叠纪-三叠纪陆相地层与古温度相关地球化学指标(二元同位素)和环境元素地球化学异常指标等技术手段的探索,期以分析二叠纪-三叠纪过渡期海-陆相生态系统崩溃的共同环境机制。
