Biography
Dr Wen Chen received Ph.D. degree in National University of Singapore. Dr Chen has conducted much research work as Research Associate and Research Fellow in National University of Singapore. Dr Chen was a visiting scholar in Harvard University in 2013.Dr Chen joined The Hong Kong Polytechnic University as Assistant Professor in Dec. 2015.Since 1 July 2021, Dr Chen is currently an Associate Professor at Department of Electronic and Information Engineering in The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
Dr Wen Chen's current research interests focus on Optical encoding, Information photonics, Free-space optical transmission, Optical imaging and sensing, and Quantum optics. Dr Chen has published many academic papers in international journals and international conferences on his field of specialization. Some publications have been highlighted or reported (e.g., AIP press release), and several are ESI highly cited papers. Dr Chen is listed among the top 2% of the world’s most highly cited scientists by Stanford University. Dr Chen has fulfilled many professional services, e.g., an Editorial Board Member for “Scientific Reports”, an Associate Editor for “IEEE Access”, an Associate Editor for “Optics and Lasers in Engineering” and an active reviewer for many journals in his research field.
