Short Description
Dr. Hsu received the B.S. and PhD. degrees in Aeronautics and Astronautics from National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Taiwan, in 2007 and 2013, respectively. He was a Visiting Ph.D. Student with the Faculty of Engineering, University College London (UCL) and Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology (TUMSAT), in 2012 and 2013, respectively. In 2013, he won a Student Paper Award and two Best Presentation Awards from the Institute of Navigation (ION). He was selected as a Japan Society for the Promotion of Sciences Postdoctoral Fellow with the Institute of Industrial Science, The University of Tokyo (UTokyo) and worked from 2014 to 2016. Recently, he started an independent research team at HKPolyU, focusing on the localization of autonomous driving using multi-sensors integration for the super-urbanized areas in Hong Kong.
His current research interests include 1) all aspects of GNSS positioning, and signal processing, including wide-area differential GNSS systems and improving GNSS performance under challenging reception conditions, 2) indoor positioning using different signal of opportunity such as Wi-Fi, ZigBee, BLE and UWB, and 3) UAV navigation and guidance using multi-sensors integration. Dr. Hsu currently are members of ION and IEEE and serve as a member of editorial board and reviewer in professional journal related to GNSS.
許立達博士於2007年及2013在國立成功大學航空太空工程學系獲得工程學士學位。並於2012年與2013年，曾作為訪問博士生前往倫敦大學學院(UCL)與東京海洋大學(TUMSAT)，並獲得美國導航學會(ION)頒發的最佳學生論文獎與兩次最佳報告獎。2014年到2016年獲得日本學術振興會外國人特別研究員項目資助，前往東京大學生產技術研究所進行博士後研究。許立達博士的研究興趣具體包括以下幾個方面：1. 全球導航衛星系統(GNSS)定位與信號處理；2. 室內定位，包括Wi-Fi, ZigBee, BLE與UWB不同技術的應用；3. 運用多重傳感器整合無人機導航。許立達博士現在是美國導航學會(ION)與電氣電子工程師學會(IEEE)成員，並且擔任GNSS領域頂級期刊編輯委員會委員與審稿人。
