Short Description
Dr Shibin Cao received his Bachelor of Engineering and Master of Engineering degrees from Harbin Institute of Technology in 2013 and 2015, respectively. He was awarded a PhD degree by the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at RWTH Aachen University in 2021. Then, he joined the Department of Aeronautical and Aviation Engineering at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. His current research interests include 1) flow instability and transition in shock/boundary-layer interaction and 2) direct numerical simulation of supersonic and hypersonic flows.
