Yanan Liu is now a Post-doctoral Fellow in the Department of Urban Planning and Design, The University of Hong Kong. She is now working on projects about public transit data, facilities, and travel behaviors. She holds a Ph.D. degree in Information Systems in the Built Environment at the Eindhoven University of Technology, the Netherlands. The research activity of her expertise concerns the investigation of the effects of the built environment on walking/biking mode choice and route choice around the metro stations. Several projects are related to using the discrete choice models and agent-based simulation models based on GIS data to study disaggregated travel behaviors and street-scale built environment variables for travel preferences analysis.
