禹志領教授本科畢業于河南中醫學院中藥系,後於香港科技大學生物化學系取得哲學博士學位。加入香港浸會大學前,禹教授曾在中國藥科大學、長崎大學、香港科技大學、廈門大學及澳門大學工作。禹教授主要從事中藥藥理及中藥炮製研究。曾發表研究論文200多篇。
康臣藥業集團有限公司及珍卡兒藥妝有限公司,分別與禹教授團隊合作,在浸會大學成立了“康臣腎病中藥研究中心”及“珍卡兒中醫透皮治療實驗室”。
禹志領教授為《時珍國醫國藥》、BMC Complementary Medicine and Therapies、Current Topics in Nutraceutical Research、Journal of Alternative, Complementary & Integrative Medicine、Pharmacological Research等30多個雜誌的Editorial Board Member/Associate Editor/Executive Editor/ Consulting Editor。
