張清苓博士曾先後就讀於山東中醫藥大學與北京中醫藥大學，於1992年在北京中醫藥大學獲得醫學博士學位，此後任教於該校基礎醫學院。張博士的研究領域主要在中醫理論體系與中醫辨証論治療法適用原則等方面，並完成兩項理論研究課題；張博士多年從事中醫理論經典著作的教學工作以及長期從事臨床治療工作，並在診治內科雜病方面頗有心得。
