Introduction Brian Anderson is the Managing Partner of the Hong Kong office of Purcell Asia Pacific Ltd, from where the practice administers its work across Southeast Asia, including Hong Kong, Mainland China, Myanmar, India and Singapore.
Anderson joined Purcell in 1985 and was appointed an Associate in 1987 and a Partner in 1989 at the London office. He moved to Hong Kong in September 2010, and has since undertaken an extensive portfolio of architectural projects across a variety of sectors with a focus in heritage conservation. He is also the principal author of a number of conservation management plans and heritage impact assessments, as well as a consultant to various public and private clients.
At the School of Architecture, he served as an External Reviewer for the BSSc (Architectural Studies) programme from 2013-16, before he was appointed as an Adjunct Associate Professor in 2017.
