BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Wong is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopaedics & Traumatology, CUHK. He obtained his Bachelor of Computing (Honors; SSP Biomedical Computing) at Queen's University, Canada and Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at CUHK. He further pursued a Doctor of Philosophy in Orthopaedics & Traumatology. He is currently a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

Dr. Wong also has several professional memberships and serves as a Faculty and Council Member of the Asian Association for Dynamic Osteosynthesis (AADO). He is also a Council Member of the Osteoporosis Society of Hong Kong (OSHK), Hong Kong Osteoporosis Foundation (HKOF), and Asia Pacific Osteoporosis & Fragility Fracture Society (APOFFS) – Section of Asia Pacific Orthopaedic Association (APOA). His major research interests are in Trauma and Fracture, Osteoporosis, and Sarcopenia.

Dr. Wong has published in numerous international journals and have many invited presentations at conferences. He currently acts as Editorial Board Members in multiple journals. He has obtained several competitive grants for innovative research including GRF, HMRF, OTC, etc. Additionally, in recognition of his research, Dr. Wong has won numerous local and international research awards. Dr. Wong also received the Gold Medal from the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine for BORT. Upon obtaining his Fellowship, he was awarded the Sir Harry Fang Gold Medal for HKCOS-RCSE Joint Specialty Fellowship Examination. He was also awarded as a Distinguished Young Fellow in the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine.

He currently teaches undergraduate and postgraduate students. His dedication and passion for teaching and training has allowed him to receive excellent feedback.
