Shawn has over fourteen years of experience in the English Language Teaching (ELT) profession in South Korea, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Hong Kong. Prior to joining the Language Centre of City University in 2020, Shawn taught a wide range of English language courses including English for Academic Purposes (EAP), English for Specific Purposes (ESP), university preparation, and examination skills in addition to undergraduate credit courses in Sustainability and Academic Reading, Writing, and Spoken Communication.
Her research interests include reading and writing, student motivation, gender equality, women'sempowerment, and sustainability.
