Dr. Y.T. Tsang received his Ph.D degree in civil engineering from the University of Hong Kong. He also obtained his MSc degree in urban planning and MSc degree in civil engineering from the University of Hong Kong prior to his PhD study. Before joining the City University of Hong Kong, he has a number of years of practical engineering experience in various local civil and building construction projects. The academic and practical background reinforces his teaching and research interests in construction management, urban development, land use issues and application of quantitative analytical techniques such as econometric modelling. He was the principal investigator and co-investigator of projects funded by teaching development grant. He also actively organizes mentoring scheme, visits and events in order to enhance the students' learning experience and foster the linkage between the students and the industry.
