Dr. Calvin Keung is a QS by profession and a CIC-Certified BIM Manager (CCBM). He is one of the core academic staff teaching quantity surveying and BIM at CityU. To keep pace with the increased BIM talent demand, Dr. Keung has designed the BIM curriculum and set up BIM courses for undergraduate students. Dr. Keung adopts a collaborative approach to BIM education, so he has developed innovative tools and facilities supporting interdisciplinary BIM teaching and research. Dr. Keung is also active in BIM promotion and development in HK. He has promoted BIM in quantity surveying and has contributed to the professional institutions. In recognition of his innovative initiative and dedication to BIM teaching, Dr. Keung received the Teaching Application Award from the 4th International BIM Award Conference in 2018, the Outstanding Teaching Award from the College of Engineering of CityU in 2020, and the Innovative CityU-Learning Award from CityU in 2020. He was also awarded BIMers 2020 by the Construction Industry Council of Hong Kong.
