Doctor Paulina Neisch joined City University of Hong Kong in August 2018. Before joining CityU she worked as an Assistant Professor at Antalya Bilim University (formerly known as Antalya International University) in Turkey. Prior to that Dr Neisch was appointed as a JSPS Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at Nagoya University in Japan. Her previous academic experiences include several research and teaching positions at National Higher School of Architecture (ENSA) of Paris Val-de-Seine, University of Paris Ouest Nanterre La Défense and LAVUE Research Laboratory in France. As a qualified and licensed architect she worked for several years in architectural offices in France and in Poland. Dr Neisch earned her doctorate with honours at University of Paris Ouest Nanterre La Défense, France in 2013 and earlier degrees (HMONP, DEA, MSc, MArch, BArch) from National Institute of Applied Science (INSA) and National Higher School of Architecture (ENSA) in Strasbourg, France. She has worked on several research projects realized at international level and supported by public and private competitive grants. Additionally she is currently serving as a secretary for ISA RC43 Research Committee and as an Organisation Officer for CAADRIA association. Dr Neisch explores architecture and urban design through the multidisciplinary approach to research, teaching and design. Her research interests include south-eastern Asian architecture and urban design, human-friendly design, socially responsible design, user's experience & design, culture & design, space production, technology in design, design education development and methodology.
