I am actively looking for masters and Ph.D. students with a solid mathematics background, especially those through a five-year Ph.D. program (硕博连读).? Students interested in pursuing mathematical foundations for applied sciences using the tool of analysis are desirable. Recruited students will receive rigorous training and generous support. Students with a B.S. degree are expected to be good at
(1) Mathematical Analysis (数学分析）
(2) Linear Algebra (线性代数)
Besides, Measure Theory and Integration, Complex Variables, Functional Analysis, Probability and Statistics, Numerical Analysis, Topology, Programming with Matlab, and Abstract Algebra will be helpful.

Students with a masters degree are additionally expected to be good at?
(1)Functional Analysis at the graduate level
(2)Fourier Analysis
(3)Measure Theory and Integration
Besides, Convex Analysis, Approximation Theory, Matrix Analysis, Optimization will be very helpful.

Mathematical entrance exams for my Ph.D. program include:
(1) Mathematical Analysis and Functional Analysis
(2) Numerical Analysis (include but not limited to: polynomial interpolation, zeros of one-variate nonlinear functions, numerical differentiation and integration, numerical methods for ODE and PDE, numerical methods for systems of linear equations, vector and matrix norms, best approximation, Galerkin and variational methods for differential equations)
