Profile:

Nick (Kaihao Yuan) joined the English Language Center (ELC) of Shantou University (STU) in summer 2019. He holds master and bachelor degrees in English Education from University of Macau, China. He attended the exchange program on linguistics, multilingual and educational studies at Nanyang Technological University and National Institute of Education in Singapore. Recently, he has been awarded Pass (Grade B) on Cambridge Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (CELTA) at International House Chiang Mai.
During his postgraduate study, Nick worked as a teaching and research assistant in the Faculty of Education at University of Macau. He also taught English speaking and co-curricular activity sessions in the Summertime English Immersion Program held by English Language Center of University of Macau. Previously, he worked as an intern secondary English teacher at Kao Yip Middle School in Macau.
Apart from teaching, Nick has great academic enthusiasm about English language education. He has published several research articles with his master's thesis supervisor in international refereed journals. His research interests mainly concentrate on second language writing and English languae teacher education
