研究领域：
艾滋病疫苗研究室研发艾滋病疫苗对于预防HIV的传播具有重大意义。本实验室坚持致力于研发预防性HIV疫苗与治疗性HIV疫苗。参与与主持国家传染病重大专项、国家自然科学基金等科研项目。近5年在本领域的国际学术杂志，如Journal of Virology, Vaccine，AIDS & Human Retrovirus, PloS One等发表多篇论文，申请国际/国内专利多项。
以猴艾滋病疫苗为模型，研发了克服抗腺病毒抗体的新技术，提升了相关生物制品的使用效率和范围（Journal of Virology, 2012）
率先研发了预防黏膜途径感染猴艾滋病毒（SIV）的新型疫苗，发现其激发的效应记忆性CD8+ T细胞免疫与保护效果呈正相关，为相关HIV疫苗进入临床试验奠定了基础（Journal of Virology, 2013）
发现了通过阻断PD-1 及Tim-3的免疫负调节信号通路可显著提升艾滋病疫苗的CD8+ T细胞免疫应答水平，为HIV疫苗佐剂设计提供了新思路（Human Vaccine & Immunother. 2013）
揭示了机体可利用自噬机制对内源性蛋白（包括HIV抗原）进行MHCⅡ类分子的抗原提呈，从而提升了HIV疫苗CD4+T细胞免疫应答，对新型疫苗研发有重要启示意义（PloS One, 2014）
呼吸道传染病研究室
近年来肆虐的SARS、H1N1、H5N1、H7N9等重大呼吸道病毒感染，严重威胁到人类生命健康、国家经济发展和社会稳定。本实验室依托呼吸疾病国家重点实验室，先后承担、参与国家自然基金、卫计委重大专项等科研项目，发表文章多篇。在国际上率先利用流感病毒反向遗传操作系统，成功构建携带luciferase或GFP报告基因的可复制型流感病毒，建立一种简单、直观、灵敏度高的新型流感病毒研究系统，可活体示踪流感报告病毒的研发，为优化流感药物筛选平台，提高流感疫苗评价系统的效率，提供新的手段。（Nature Communications 2013;J Virology 2010）

生物工程研究室（抗体、干细胞）
探索如何快速研发中和抗体。建立并验证了以免疫猕猴的外周血淋巴细胞为来源，建立抗体噬菌体库，筛选针对病原体的高亲和力中和抗体的平台（Plos One, 2013）。探索用高通量测序分析抗体库及其成熟过程。探索干细胞与肺损伤修复及肺再生。
基因敲除小鼠研究基因新功能。发现了sPLA2可调控代谢及炎症及免疫反应（Hepatology, 2011）
