冯保民,教授,博士生导师。1998年毕业于山东大学生命科学院,获学士学位;2002年毕业于中国科学院北京植物研究所,获硕士学位;2008年毕业于美国宾州州立大学(the Pennsylvania State University)生物系,获博士学位2008-2012在加州大学伯克利分校 (UC Berkeley)植物与微生物学系BrianStaskawicz实验室从事博士后研究,方向为植物抗性蛋白(R-protein)激活免疫反应的分子机制。2012-2017在德克萨斯农工大学(Texas A&M University)任研究助理,研究病原分子模式激活的植物天然免疫。致力于植物天然免疫系统的研究,发现了蛋白质多聚腺苷酸核糖化修饰(PARylation)对植物免疫反应,尤其是免疫基因调控的重要作用,并首次应用蛋白质芯片技术鉴定了模式植物拟南芥中第一批PARylation底物蛋白。目前在《EMBO Reports》,《PLos Genetics》, 《PLos Pathogens》,《Plant Journal》等期刊发表论文共16篇。
