1990年-1994年于河南中医学院获中药学学士学位，1994年-1997年于河南中医学院获中药学硕士学位，1997年-2000年于北京中医药大学获博士学位，2006年-2007年于美国南阿拉巴马大学医学院药理系做博士后研究。2000年-至今于中国医学科学院药物研究所国家药物筛选中心工作，2012年9月-至今作为第七批援疆干部于新疆维吾尔自治区药物研究所药理二室工作，任副主任。国家新药审评专家库专家，中国药理学会补益药药理专业委员会常务委员，《中国药学杂志》审稿人等。研究方向包括抗炎免疫、内分泌等相关疾病的新药发现，药物靶点的寻找和确证，以及中药民族药活性成分、中药复方作用机制的研究等。
近年作为项目负责人先后主持国家中医药管理局中药科技专项、科技部863子课题、教育部归国留学启动基金、国家自然科学基金、科技部“十一五”重大新药创制专项、中央科研公益基金重点与团队课题、人事部择优项目等国家级课题10项。作为课题骨干人员先后参与国家自然基金重点项目、北京市自然基金重点项目、科技部国际合作项目、卫生部公益性行业专项、科技部“十一五”、“十二五”重大新药创制专项、国家自然基金面上项目、军口“十二五”重大新药创制专项等国家级课题20余项。目前已发表论文近60篇，其中SCI收录30篇，副主编或参编《实验药理学》、《中华海洋本草》、《天然产物研究方法和技术》、《中药产业现代化推进战略论丛》等著作11部，申请专利3项。曾获中华医学会科技进步三等奖2项，北京市科学技术奖二等奖2项，药物所青年优秀科学研究论文三等奖1项等。
