个人简介
I have been teaching since 1996 and have taught in the UK, China, Poland and the Czech Republic. I was a Senior Teacher in the Czech Republic and a D.O.S. in Shanghai as well as a teacher trainer for native English speakers in both countries. In China, I was involved in organising British Council Language Assistant training projects for British University graduates and Teacher Training Programmes for Chinese secondary and primary English teachers in Shanghai as part of the local government’s education project. I have also taught in higher education institutions in the UK. I completed a full-time MA English Language Teaching and Applied Linguistics at King’s College London in 2010 during which I conducted research into the academic expectations, experiences and challenges of Chinese master’s students in the UK. I am now continuing my research at Doctorate level by focusing on the transition from a Chinese university to a British university within China.
At CELE, I am currently working in the Academic Literacy Development Centre (ALDC) as an Academic Literacy Development Specialist (ALDS) for NUBS, and have also been involved in CELE’s Needs Analysis for Year 2-4 students.
