Abstract_Chinese:\r钙质砂是长期在饱和的碳酸钙溶液中经物理、生物化学及化学作用过程而形成的海洋沉积物,是人工岛建造常用的岩土工程材料,其力学特性直接影响人工岛的安全使用.海洋环境下钙质砂不间断承受海洋动荷载的影响,因此有必要探究循环荷载作用下钙质砂单颗粒动强度特征.为此采用自行设计研制的单颗粒循环加载仪器对不同形状、粒径的南海钙质砂进行单颗粒破碎试验,利用Weibull 统计函数描述每种粒径下的单颗粒动强度分布规律.基于试验所得力-位移曲线,发现钙质砂单颗粒在动荷载试验过程中的破坏模式分为两种:一种是颗粒破碎发生在加基值力之前,一种是颗粒破碎发生在加基值力之后.对不同粒径单颗粒动强度统计分析,发现单颗粒动强度的分布与粒径有关,粒径越大则强度越低;相同粒径下不同形状的单颗粒动强度规律为:块状颗粒>条状颗粒>片状颗粒;同一形状下单颗粒强度服从Weibull 分布,在双对数坐标轴下,特征单颗粒动强度与粒径呈线性关系.\r

Abstract_English:\rCalcareous sand is a marine sediment formed in saturated calcium carbonate solution due to long-term physical,biochemical,and chemical processes,and it has been widely employed as the construction material for artificial islands.Its mechanical properties play an important role for its safe utilization in artificial islands. Considering that the calcareous sand continuously bears dynamic load in the marine environment,investigating the dynamic strength characteristics of calcareous sand under cyclic loading is necessary.To realize this,a series of single-particle crushing tests were carried out with a single-particle cyclic loading apparatus on the South China Sea calcareous sand of different shapes and sizes.Weibull statistical function is used to describe the distribution law of single-particle dynamic strength under each particle size.The results show that the failure modes of single-particle calcareous sand during dynamic loading can be categorized into two types:one is particle crushing before a threshold force is reached,and the other is particle breakage at a force larger than the threshold force.The dynamic strength distribution of single particles was found to be related to particle size.The larger the particle size is,the lower the particle strength is.Considering dynamic strength,single particles with the same particle size can be ranked in the following order:block granules>bar granule>sheet granules.In addition,the single-particle strength follows Weibull distribution,and a linear relationship exists between the characteristic dynamic singleparticle strength and the particle size on double logarithmic scales.\r
