教授，博士生导师， 1983年天津医科大学本科毕业；1989年浙江大学医学院，获医学硕士学位；1998年英国伯明翰大学医学院，获博士学位。2003起至今为南开大学教授，从事生理学教学和科研工作。目前每年招收1-2名硕士生及博士生。

作为项目负责人目前主持2项国家自然科学基金面上项目、1项天津市自然科学基金重点项目及973项目子课题。

一、研究方向：
1围绕神经系统重大疾病，开发和制备了相关的动物模型，并在动物模型基础上进行神经电生理、认知、神经细胞的免疫组化及突触机制等研究。
2纳米颗粒在中枢神经系统的作用和毒性的机制。
3 肾发育有关的离子通道机制研究。
4海马神经通路的交互作用与神经元突触传递效率。
