Short Bio
Guang Jiang is an associate professor in the School of Telecommunications Engineering at Xidian University at Xian. He received his B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in 1993, 1998 and 2003, respectively all from Xidian University. He had ever worked in the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, the Chinese University of Hong Kong and the Xian Research Institute of Navigation Technique. Currently, his main research areas include image processing and computer vision. His main research goals are to develop approaches to analyze, understand and code the images or videos of real world objects and scenes based on vision geometry. Dr. Jiang is a member of IEEE. He serves as a reviewer for journals of the IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence, the IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems for Video Technology, Internal Journal of Computer Vision, Image and Vision Computing, Machine Vision and Application etc. and main conferences in computer vision.

研究方向:实验室主要从事视频和图像的处理工作,研究方向有视觉几何中的不变量,三维重建,重建场景和图像的深度理解,AR、VR、MR基础算法架构,基于视觉几何的视频压缩编码等。今年的科研工作包括一项国家重点研发课题和多项横向课题,涉及无人机摄影、车辆视觉安全、三维重建和MR新架构多个方面,研究经费近200万。
专业设备:兵马未动,粮草先行。实验室配备有专业摄像机2台;工业摄像头n台;RGBD相机(Kinect 6台,RealSense 2台);图像工作站6台;集群工作站1套(160 CPU核+18176 Cuda核),深度学习的图像卡包括Titan XP、1080Ti、M40等,车载图像系统1套,大疆无人机3架,大型无人机1架(合作共享),大型激光扫描仪1台(合作共享)。

AR Magic Cube
Have you ever played a Magic Cube?

The Magic Cube (also called Rubik's cube) is one of the world's top-selling puzzle game. Generally, a real cube must be at your hand when you want to play it. But in the ARMagicCube, a virtual magic cube will show up wherever or whenever you want, and you can play it as if it is a real one.

The only thing you need to do is to capture an image of a planar object by the app. Then a virtual magic cube is shown on the planar object. You can observe the cube from any view by the phone as long as the captured image is in the screen, and slide the screen to handle the magic cube.
